The Systems Engineer will provide technical assistance to end users in an efficient and accurate manner. This role provides front-line support for the daily operations of Eclipse Partner(s) via desk side and remote support.

Responsibilities:

As a member of our growing team, many of the Systems Engineer duties include, but are not limited to the following:

Essential Job Functions
  • Apply customer service and technical skills to resolve issues to the end-user’s satisfaction
  • Utilize phone, email, chat and remote management utilities to assist with troubleshooting tickets
  • Configure, test, install, and support servers, firewalls, workstations, and peripheral equipment
  • Install software, patches, updates on servers, workstations and network equipment
  • Serve as escalation point for Tier 1 issues and train junior engineers on troubleshooting skillset
  • Provide onsite support at customer locations for technical requirements as needed
  • Lead in the design, planning, and implementation of technologies for project success
  • Determine business impact of requests, collect information and escalate when necessary
  • Analyze support requirements and makes modifications to systems based on customer requests
  • Perform needs assessment, recommends system improvements and implement solutions
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical end-users
  • Document internal and customer knowledge accurately and comprehensively in a timely manner
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience troubleshooting server and network issues
  • 3+ years of experience supporting physical and virtual server and network hardware/software
  • Proficient knowledge of Active Directory/Exchange/ M365/Azure AD
  • Proficient knowledge of security technologies, best practices and vulnerability remediation
  • Experience with network management; routers, switches, access points, firewalls
  • Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills (IP routing / network experience preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Highly detailed and organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
  • Customer service oriented with a friendly and energetic personality that works well with others.
  • Professional appearance and conduct
  • Associates and/or bachelor’s degree in computer science or related a plus
  • IT Certifications (CCNA, MCSA/E, Azure, MS365) highly desired
  • MSP experience highly desired
